R3 Material recovery is the use of waste as a secondary raw material
to produce a usable product. It can be done by recovering usable parts of the waste, by recovering (restoring) the useful properties of the material or by recycling, i.e. returning the material to the production cycle in order to conserve primary raw material resources.
We provide material recovery of wood waste at our own facilities. Through our partners we provide recovery of various types of waste, e.g. paper, plastics, foils, etc..
R1 Energy recovery of waste is the use of waste to produce energy.
We produce TAP – solid alternative fuel – from other non-hazardous waste at our own facilities. Through our partners we provide energy recovery of various types of waste.
Solid alternative fuels are burned in rotary kilns:
- Main burner
- Calcination burner
Sources of waste for TAP production:
- Industrial waste (automotive, plastics, film, paper, rubber)
- Municipal waste (sorted waste – plastics, paper, foil)
Benefits of using TAP:
- Reducing global CO2 and NOx emissions
- Saving non-renewable energy resources
- Reducing landfilling
The input waste for TAP production must not contain: metal particles (pipes, hydraulic hoses, bearings, etc.), bricks, ceramics, parts of concrete and stones, particularly dusty material and construction waste, glass or mineral wool, bulky waste with a dimension of more than >1.0 m, materials on rolls (such as foils, advertising labels, etc.)), large plastic water or sewage pipes, PET/PP ties, twine, ropes and nets, PVC window frames and other PVC-based waste, big-bags, …
We produce TAP – solid alternative fuel – from other non-hazardous waste at our own facilities.
The main commodities are paper and cardboard, plastics, glass, wood or metals, worn-out tyres, small construction waste, electrical waste.
Through our partners, we provide recovery of e-waste, portable and industrial batteries and accumulators.
We process polystyrene through a coil press – pure polystyrene for recycling. Other types of polystyrene are used as feedstock for the production of TAP – solid alternative fuel.
We collect used cooking oil and biodegradable waste from catering establishments at regular intervals.
We also help catering establishments with the export of glass, paper and foil, or with other types of waste according to customer requirements.
In our sister company Brantner Nové Zámky we accept and recover municipal waste in a technological line with subsequent biological stabilization from 1 January 2025. cebz.sk
Brantner has formed a joint venture with the state-owned company SPP, which is bringing cutting-edge technology to several Slovak cities that can turn household bio-waste into usable energy and bio-fertiliser. The Brantner companies collect municipal waste with their own vehicles and also operate landfill stations.
Disposal of waste is treatment that does not cause damage to the environment or endanger human health (waste disposal D1-D12). In our sister company Brantner Eko Hriňová we dispose of liquid waste in a neutralisation and flotation station.
In our sister companies Brantner in the territory of the Slovak Republic we provide storage of non-hazardous waste by landfilling at our own landfills in Martin – Kalnô, Lučenec – Čurgov, Kolta, Spišská Nová Ves – Kúdelník. Through our partners we provide disposal/landfill of construction waste.
Through our partners, we provide medical waste disposal, which is subject to specific requirements in terms of disease prevention.
